No apology

12:00pm Thursday 14th March 2013

ON Tuesday, March 5, our cat was hit and killed by a car in the cul-de-sac in which we live.

While I understand that pets that are allowed outside are at risk from traffic, I fail to understand why someone would be driving so fast that they failed to see her in a cul-de-sac, outside a primary school with parked cars all around.

I also find it difficult to understand that someone would do this to a family pet and not even let us know.

Other parents had to ask my husband to remove her from the road so as not to upset their children on the way to school.

My children were heartbroken and an apology would have made a huge difference to this very upsetting situation.
