Hollywood stars were among visitors to Hampton Court Palace this week.
Henry VIII’s red brick Tudor palace was transformed into a set for the filming of upcoming fantasy adventure film Jack and the Giant Slayer.
X-Men director Bryan Singer led the cast, which included Scottish actor Ewan McGregor, Eleanor Tomlinson, About a Boy’s Nicholas Hoult and the Devil Wears Prada’s Stanley Tucci.
The film, due out in March, tells the story of Jack, a young farmhand who must rescue a princess from a race of giants after inadvertently opening a gateway to their world.
It is based on Jack the Giant Killer and Jack and the Beanstalk fairy tale and will also to be shown in 3D.
