Rick Wakeman leads a line-up of acclaimed stars at Claygate Music Festival in March.

The prog-rock icon, who was a close friend of David Bowie and played on Life on Mars, has already sold out his evening of music and storytelling at Holy Trinity Church on March 10.

The festival, at venues around town, also features Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band founder and Monty Python collaborator Neil Innes Thursday March 3, Martin Turner from Wishbone Ash on March 4, the moving 90’s singer and musician Beverly Craven on Friday March 11, the edgy wit of comedy singer Richard Digance on Saturday March 12, and a classical concert from the renowned soprano singer Chen Reiss on Saturday March 19.

The festival will also highlight many local performers and the live recording of a Blues Hour radio show with artists such as Brooks Williams.
