The ripping yarn of Treasure Island will be beamed live from the stage at the National Theatre to cinemas around the country this month.

Head to Leatherhead Theatre or the Odeon in Epsom to catch this new stage adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s famous sea adventure novel about "buccaneers and buried gold".

The play stars actor Arthur Darvill who is best known for his roles in hit TV shows Broadchurch, the White Queen and Doctor Who.

The National Theatre says: "This winter, Robert Louis Stevenson’s story of murder, money and mutiny is brought to life on the Olivier stage in a thrilling new adaptation by Bryony Lavery."

The screening will be suitable for children aged 10 plus.
