Author Jacqueline Wilson, actress Sheila Hancock and journalist Peter Snow are among those on the Richmond Literature Festival line-up this winter.

It will be the 23rd festival of books, tales, words and talks which will see various events take place throughout November.

Plenty of subjects will be covered including music, art, politics and war.

Hancock will discuss her first novel, written aged 82, at the Orange Tree Theatre on November 16.

Another highlight will be Wilson, talking about her 100th novel, Opral Plumstead, at Duke Street Church on November 22.

Richmond Council cabinet member for culture, Councillor Meena Bond, said: "The Richmond Literature Festival brings a host of exciting literary events to the borough which can’t be missed.

"It is a celebration of literature in all its forms and this year’s month-long programme of events promises to be better than ever."
