A street party, with live music and dance, marked the start of a vibrant arts festival on Saturday.

Disabled performing arts group, Freewheelers Theatre Company, were among the acts which performed in Leatherhead High Street.

There were also performances by local band Atlantis, choir All Aloud and street dancers from the Blue Academy of Performing Arts.

The 20th Mole Valley Arts Alive Festival includes music, plays, dance, workshops and classes for children throughout October.

The festival brochure is available from Mole Valley District Council’s reception, local theatres, libraries and shops.
