The Clink prison restaurant stacks up another award
7:00am Sunday 3rd June 2012 in News By Sophie Coop
The Clink at HMP High Down has won another award
An award-winning prison restaurant stacked up another gong last week.
The Clink at HMP High Down was awarded the corporate social and environmental responsibility award at this year’s Footprint Awards, Thursday May 24.
The judges were impressed with the charity’s innovative approach and dedication to sustainability, and the restaurant came runner up for the Commercial Benefit through Sustainable Practice Award.
Chris Moore, chief executive of the Clink Charity, said: "We are absolutely thrilled. It is a real accolade to the initiatives we have undertaken.
"Sustainable practice is high on our agenda. We are incredibly proud of our achievements and we are thrilled to have the Footprint Awards acknowledging our hard work and dedication."

There's something wrong when prisoners get top rated meals and hospital patients get crap.
It is for member's of the public and staff who pay.

Thank you for pointing this out. This story leads us to believe its the prisoners who are eating top rate meals. Perhaps Clink should take over the catering in many of our hospitals and age care homes.
