Each Christmas, Chatsworth House sparkles with lights, candles and artfully arranged decorations. With carol singers, brass bands and a seasonal gift sale - and with a visit to Chester also included - this is a pre-Christmas experience you won't want to miss.

Itinerary
Day One
Leaving the local area this morning we'll head to historic Chester. Arriving in the early afternoon, you'll be able to explore the famous Rows - galleried tiers of shops dating back to medieval times - visit the cathedral and walk the city walls before we continue to our overnight hotel.
Day Two
Today's highlight is our visit to Chatsworth. Upon arrival you're free to explore the three gift shops, the stableyard stalls selling mulled wine, roasted chestnuts and mince pies, and the 105-acre garden.At a prearranged time during your visit, you'll also enjoy a pre-booked tour of the house. Chatsworth is transformed at Christmastime. The rooms are beautifully decorated and lit with candles, and its innumerable treasures - from priceless silver to a 'lace' cravat carved from wood - seem to take on an added gleam. Afterwards, we'll begin our journey home, arriving in the local area by mid to late evening.
