Travellers evicted

Kingston County Court has made a final order for travellers illegally parked on land in Surbiton to vacate the premises.

A spokesman for St George's Mental Health Trust, which owns the site at 21 Brighton Road, said the travellers must leave the site by Monday, July 11, after it obtained the court order last week.

The trust is confident that the travellers will vacate the property voluntarily and would like to thank residents who assisted them by providing representations.
